Owen Hartley
NADCA ASCS & Founder
Twenty years in indoor air quality. Started on commercial HVAC cleaning crews in Queens in 2004, earned NADCA ASCS certification in 2011, founded Long Island Air Duct Co. in 2012 after seeing too many 'duct cleaning' operators do three vents and leave.
What Owen does differently.
The industry's reputation problem — fly-by-night operators with $49 Groupon specials who vacuum three vents and leave — exists because homeowners have no way to verify the work. Owen built the company around fixing that. Camera-scope video on every job, printed NADCA-style reports, independent lab samples for mold inspections, and a firm policy of never selling equipment we do not think meaningfully improves indoor air quality.
Owen is on most Nassau and Suffolk site visits. He runs the NADCA re-certifications for the crew. He answers customer emails himself — there is no customer service department to get lost in.
